Project Overview:
This on-going project started as a masterplan effort identifying three game changer projects for the riverfront. After these three projects were identified, the first of the three: a riverfront festival ground, started becoming a reality and we moved through construction documents.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
How I Contributed:
This was my first experience participating in community input events and stakeholder engagement meetings. From these meetings, myself along with the AGL team, went through multiple concept designs finally settling on one for the festival grounds.
My primary focus within the project was the design and development of a natural playground. This allowed me to explore the use of real wooden site furniture and evaluate its practicality on a site that required flood-resilient design solutions. I gained valuable experience through product representative meetings and the creation of custom CAD details, both of which were integral to this phase of the project.
Additionally, i had the opportunity to strengthen my grading and drainage design skills by contributing to the development of the grading plan.
